Environment is an important part for human life. We cannot live without environment. However, we can see some problem affecting the environment, for example: pollution, global warming, climate change, and etc. It can be caused by human or natural phenomena. In addition to protect our environment, people must do some prevention to decrease the number of environmental damage. There are three simple ways that people can do to protect the environment; ways to use less water, ways to conserve energy, and ways to protect our air.
The first way to protect our environment is by using less water. There are some ways that people can do to reduce the amount of water they use. First, replace old toilets with new ones that use a lot less water. We can install a low flow shower head in the shower. Second, you don’t wash dishes with the water running continuously. Third, you should turn off the water while brushing your teeth and washing your hair. By reducing water consumption, we can save more our money and save our environment.
Sometimes many people ask “Why is it important that people have to conserve energy?” We should conserve energy to save our non-renewable resources, to save the environment from pollution, to reduce heating of the atmosphere, and to save our money. We can conserve energy by turn off the TV when no one is watching and unplug electronics or battery chargers when you are not using them. Not only turn off the TV, but also the lights, computers, radios, air conditioners when it isn’t used. Then, shut off electrical equipment in the evening when you leave work. Another thing that is important: reduce, recycle, and reuse.
Clean air is a vital role of our life, especially for our body. The air which contains threatening contaminants can seriously affect our health. Consequently, we must protect our air. There are some ways to protect the air. First, we should choose to use public transportation. We also can walk or ride a bike instead of using a car for short trips so that it can reduce air pollution. Second, never burn rubbish, plastics, or wood. Burning that material will damage your health because that substances release toxic. Third, we must plant a tree. Trees clean the air by removing carbon dioxide and producing oxygen. In fact, It takes 300 trees to balance the amount of air pollution that one person produces in normal daily activities.
There are some ways to protect our environment presented here. In conclusion, we all have responsibility for protect the environment. We must do it well because the good condition of our environment will give better life for future generation.
